Stepping up to the mic for a special occasion, Nashville’s in-demand Tree Vibez Music songwriter and producer COREY CROWDER drops “My Poor Mama” today (5/8) on all streaming platforms and digital retailers. Available now via Round Here Records, Crowder was encouraged by label founders and Florida Georgia Line superstars, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, to release some music of his own and first teased the track on Instagram Wednesday (5/6).

Skipping the card and flowers this Mother’s Day, Crowder is showing his gratitude with a grunge-Country tribute to every wild child’s oldest ally, “My Poor Mama.” Featuring a bluesy groove, heavy backbeat and low-slung guitars, the good-natured track loudly proclaims a tough guy’s tender side. Detailing the luxurious life every mother deserves, Crowder serves up an anthem filled with private jets, infinity pools, and fast Corvettes – all of the things the matriarch of the house ought to have for bailing her kids out of countless tight spots. “If saving my can was worth a million dollars / Than nobody’d be richer than my poor mama,” sings the longtime songwriter and producer. Produced by Crowder, “My Poor Mama” was also penned by him, alongside Jaren Johnston, James McNair, and TVM’s Jordan Schmidt.

“Sometimes, as a songwriter, some of your favorite songs that you write never get recorded. I’m fired up to have the chance to give a few of those songs new life by putting them out like ‘My Poor Mama,’” shares Crowder. “After writing it, ‘My Poor Mama’ became an instant go-to favorite of mine. It hadn’t found a home yet – so I’ve decided to give it one.”

Hubbard and Kelley applaud Crowder sharing, “Corey has written and sang too many great songs to not have them out for the world to hear.” Adding, “‘My Poor Mama’ is perfect to release right now for Mother’s Day, and we’ve all loved this song for a while now – so, why not? We couldn’t be more excited for him, and proud to be on this amazing musical journey together.”

The Loganville, GA-native relocated to Nashville in 2010, to focus his talents on behind-the-scenes hitmaking, after launching his career as an aspiring artist.
