Last night Wilco performed their new single “Tell Your Friends” for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The song is available to purchase now exclusively from Bandcamp with all proceeds benefiting World Central Kitchen, a not-for-profit and non-governmental organization that provides meals in the wake of natural disasters. Due to COVID-19, World Central Kitchen is distributing pick up and take home meals to those that need support, including children and families, as well as delivery to seniors who cannot venture outside. Additionally, for a web exclusive, Jeff Tweedy played a solo rendition of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot’s “Jesus, Etc.

On “Tell Your Friends,” Wilco band members and their families sing “Don’t forget to tell your friends // When you see them again // O’ I love you // O’ I love you.”  The performance of “Tell Your Friends” was filmed entirely during quarantine in each band member’s respective homes. It’s an encouraging reminder that people can still connect despite isolation. Tweedy comments, “We miss each other. So we wrote a song about it to sing with each other, to sing to each other.
