The adidas originals Forum Drop 2’s might be 80’s retro. The aforementioned is solely my opinion and that’s ok for a blog that’s just ok. I dug them then and I’m still kind of stuck on them now for their white and gray colorway. If that’s not your thing, don’t fret…adidas originals has thought this out and now a multitude of various colors exist.
adidas Originals returns to present its latest updates to the iconic Forum sneaker. Celebrating those who are redefining the style of tomorrow, the second seasonal drop of Forum silhouettes champions an innately open minded spirit. The suite of three brand new sneakers recognises the importance of experimenting with new ideas – applauding an approach that is inherently youthful, energetic, and, above all, receptive to fresh perspectives.
Though it first revolutionised the sport of basketball on the court, in the decades since its inception, the adidas Forum has continually been adopted and recontextualised by generation after generation of game-changing cultural forces who effortlessly embrace a new world of unknowns. Standing proud as an inimitable style icon, today the silhouette represents an open invitation for self-expression. Building on the ambiance of the first seasonal drop, the latest Forum collection is once again accompanied by an energetic campaign, this time starring musician and multi- hyphenate creative Niki and adidas Skateboarding Global Team Rider, Diego Nájera, as they head down to their local parks and courts.
The second seasonal Forum offering sees adidas Originals reimagine the iconic silhouette through the lens of luxury, celebrating its heralded legacy and authentic roots with three decadent sneakers. First up is an elegant yet youthful take on the Forum 84 High silhouette, featuring a white premium leather upper, matched with a modernized adjustable strap, and capped off with a gold foil trefoil logo embossed on the lateral collar. Meanwhile, the Forum Exhibit Mid and Forum Exhibit Low are elevated takes on a timeless classic which playfully deploy material overlays at offset angles. A celebration of the Forum’s luxurious origins, the mid-cut version of the silhouette is available in a white and burgundy colorway, while the low-cut version is available in a bold black make-up.
Inspired by the spirit of the 1980s and built for those who stay open to what’s next, the second Fall/Winter 2021 Forum drop is available globally from September 1st at adidas.com/forum and via select adidas retail locations.
