Any shoe that declares itself fucking awesome on the heels and tongue simply has to be! It’s like the wallet that has Bad Motherfucker embossed on it.
On the heels of the Sherpa Collection launched earlier this year, adidas Skateboarding and Fucking Awesome (FA) return to unveil the latest footwear offerings masterminded from Jason Dill’s unique creative vision. Taking design cues from iconic adidas classics of his youth, the global Pro team rider and skate icon delivers fresh colorways for the Experiment 01 and Experiment 02 silhouettes.
“For this version of the Experiment 01 silhouette, I really wanted to do something different,” says adidas global Pro team skateboarder Jason Dill. “The khaki, muted army green with orange are definitely referencing shoes I liked to skate in when I was a teenager in the 90s. The camo with the eyes looking through finishes it all off nicely. There are so many ways you can go with this model, I look forward to doing more with it in the near future.”
Continuing to pay homage to the outdoors, Dill’s distinctive camo-inspired artwork is highlighted in the Experiment 01—an extension of the brand’s inaugural Sherpa Collection. The model arrives in a suede and leather upper that provides extended durability and comfort. A co-branded logo is spotlighted on the tongue adjacent to adidas’ quintessential three stripes, alongside a striking orange insole and gum outsole for added grip on the board. Finishing off the aesthetics is “Fucking Awesome” logo emblazoned across the lower back heel.
Experiment 02 arrives in a triple black premium leather upper with a distinguishable FA-branded patchwork of international flags on the tongue. A burgundy insole with an imprinted FA logo rounds out the silhouette’s construction.
adidas Skateboarding and FA in partnership with Thrasher to also host an open-air Skate Jam Invitational in Hollywood on July 30, 4-8pm PST. Competing invitees include Pro team riders from adidas, FA, Hockey and other industry heavyweights. Custom ramp build outs + $15,000 in cash prizes.
The adidas Skateboarding x Fucking Awesome Experiment 01 is now available for purchase exclusively via fuckingawesomestore.com with a wider release on August 13 via www.adidas.com/skateboarding, adidas CONFIRMED app and in select skate specialty retailers. Experiment 02 will also be available on all of the aforementioned platforms starting on August 13. Both colorways retail for $110 / €110.
