A moment of peace is all it takes to get me motivated.  I dug Fat Dog, the video, the song, the whole shebang.  Read the press release to know more.  I could paraphrase but what good would that do you?

Upon returning from their US tour in support of their fantastically unhinged and lauded debut album, WOOF., released via Domino this past September, Fat Dog now share a brand new single, “Peace Song,” complete with a mandatory childrens’ choir just in time for Christmas. “Peace Song” first debuted at Fat Dog’s “rambunctious” and “exhilarating” (FADER) live shows earlier this year. The arrival of the song in the set signaled a moment to take a breather, the typically frenetic mosh pit temporarily swapped for synchronized swaying arms and lighters in the air. Directed by James Ogram, the video for “Peace Song” delivers on the emotion of frontman Joe Love’s refrain “And I’m in love with the world” before turning into a (very) DIY kaiju film.

Fat Dog have been touring incessantly surrounding the release of WOOF., playing to sold out rooms all over the UK, Europe and the US. They play three more sold out UK shows this week, including London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town, and then cap off the year with debut performances in Japan and Hong Kong. As Stereogum praised upon first seeing the band earlier this year, “[Fat Dog] hit even harder in person — all that kinetic energy comes through in an eardrum-blasting chaos that needs to be seen to be believed.
