Watch Spoon’s “My Babe” Video

-

*You can only watch on Facebook or Meta or the Metaverse or whatever the hell it’s called*

Today, you can watch the video for “My Babe.” It’s the record’s anthemic centerpiece – a genuine love song shot through with tenderness, optimism, and a touch of self-aware bravado.

The “My Babe” video takes inspiration from a short-lived late ’70s variety show hosted by the legendary country music producer and oddball poet, “Cowboy” Jack Clement. The clip is directed by Jamie-James Medina and stars Brad Leland (Friday Night Lights).

On streaming services the song is backed with a reconstruction by dub pioneer Adrian Sherwood. Listen here.

On July 7, Spoon will kick off a run of headline shows at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo, NY. They play Madison, WI on July 13 and Vancouver, BC on July 26. Find the complete run of dates listed below. In the fall, the band will join forces with Interpol for the “Lights, Camera, Factions” tour, a coast-to-coast run of North American co-headline shows.

Critics are praising Lucifer On The Sofa and “The Hardest Cut” hit #1 at AAA Radio – watch Spoon play “The Hardest Cut,” “Wild,” and “Inside Out” on CBS Saturday Morning. Listen/purchase the album here.
