Brooklyn via Los Angeles-based White China has released their quiet and lush new single, “Freak Dreams” today and it might help get you through the end of the week. The band White China is made up of Gianluca Buccellati, his brother Sanj and Aaron Bernards. “Freak Dreams” was taken from the band’s upcoming debut album I which is due out this June. White China’s Gianluca Buccellati explains that the track was inspired by “a phase where I was staying out late. I would see the sunrise frequently,” and asking yourself “are we going to keep this up, or is it time to go home? I wrote and recorded most of the album in my Brooklyn apartment. I’d make demos and send them to Aaron and Sanj out in LA. They were both really supportive at the early stages and helped me finish off the album.” – Gianluca Buccellati
