Cinedigm Corp. And The Asylum have unleashed a hilariously awful trailer for their upcoming film D-Day which effectively demonstrates that it doesn’t have the mettle to polish Private Ryan’s boots. The film appears as it had a budget of $100 and it could have been filmed in some Hollywood backlot or someone’s backyard. I’ve seen kids recreate the D-Day invasion with Army men with a better sense of drama and intensity. However, the poster for the film is glorious. Check out the overly photoshopped collage and background effects. The poster is so busy that it almost makes me dizzy. D-Day will be released on September 13th in both theaters and on demand.
Synopsis
As thousands of Allied soldiers storm the beaches of Normandy in an attempt to change the course of WWII, Lt. Colonel James Rudder (Cage Coppola), Lt. General Omar Bradley (Liddell), and Major Cleveland Lytle (Couture) lead the 2nd Battalion behind enemy lines and into a firefight against an enemy that greatly outnumbers them. Scaling a one-hundred-foot cliff, these heroic rangers battle to secure a strategic position and destroy a battery of German-seized cannons.
