Los Angeles psych-rock favorites Allah-Las have officially announced their sixth studio album, Sirenas, arriving August 28 via Mexican Summer in partnership with the band’s own imprint, Calico Discos. The announcement comes alongside the release of the shimmering new single “Pt. Conception,” giving fans another glimpse into the group’s evolving sound.
Rather than building the album around traditional songwriting, Sirenas emerged from freeform jam sessions that emphasized intuition, atmosphere, and sonic exploration. The band cites influences ranging from Iasos and Brian Eno to the adventurous spirit of explorers like Jacques Cousteau, resulting in an expansive collection that blends hazy psychedelia, Balearic grooves, and cinematic textures.
Following the previously released single “Ultramarine,” the laid-back and hypnotic “Pt. Conception” continues Allah-Las’ signature blend of surf rock, garage psych, and dreamy melodies while pushing their sound into more immersive territory. Sirenas marks the band’s first full-length album since 2023’s Zuma 85.
