Chris Cohen shares his first new music since 2016 with the appealingly dull tune, “Edit Out.” Maybe I’m missing something but this track is a snoozer. I’m usually interested in Chris Cohen’s output but this track wasn’t doing a thing for me. It was just so middle of the road and astoundingly boring. Maybe I’m boring. I don’t think so, but it’s a possibility.
Press Release
Multi-instrumentalist and producer Chris Cohen shares new music for the first time since 2016’s As If Apart. “Edit Out” features Jay Israelson on piano and Kasey Knudsen on saxophone and marks the first time Cohen has actively collaborated in the studio with others on his own music, rather than recording everything alone. “Edit Out” previews more new music to come in 2019.
Mikado Hotel across the street isn’t cheap
But he only stayed one night, to be caught
People want a lot
We were loved from afar
Everyone kept in the dark
I rub my eyes and look around
You could hardly tell at all
Estimated what they’d edit out
Maybe nothing there at all
Does anything really change?
Behind words in defense
I rub my eyes and look around
You could hardly tell at all
Estimated what they’d edit out
Maybe nothing there at all
