Ottawa’s Pony Girl has shared their new single “Enny One Wil Love You” today and it’s the second single taken from their forthcoming LP of the same name! The title track is a pensive and multi-layered number. “Enny One Wil Love You” opens with various ropey textures that propel the song forward into a perpetuating synth cycle. I had a case of perpetuating synth cycle once, but I put some mercurochrome on it, and it cleared up after a few weeks. “Enny One Wil Love You” will be released on October 14th via Paper Bag Records. Speaking on their new single, the band wrote:
“‘Enny One Wil Love You’ sounds like dizzying video game that you’re not sure how to win. While the words actually come from a child’s drawing we saw on tour, it also struck us as the perfect backhanded compliment for false prophets. ‘Anyone will LOVE you’ for their charisma, yet ‘ANYONE will love you’ despite their bullshit. Community doubt only benefits their toxicity, so you better pick a side. The only thing worse than doubt is indifference.”
